No, your eyes are not deceiving you. This is actually a surfing pig.
This little piglet has left the muddy sty behind and taken to riding waves in Hawaii instead.
“He really get’s off on it. Seems like he’s having a good time when he’s out there. I think it makes him happy.”
Kama loves nothing more than to surf, regularly joining his owner Kai Holt to catch some waves on Hawaii’s famous beaches.
Kai first noticed his pig’s unusual skills when he slipped and fell in his owner’s backyard pool and started to swim. Not long after, the little wonder pig were sharing a surfboard with Holt, catching waves and turning heads at Hawaii’s Sandy Beach.
“Pretty cute. Really cute.”
”That’s definitely the first time I’ve seen a pig on a board.”
“Surfing is Hawaii’s gift to the world. It’s like true happiness, you know. And that’s what this guy does. Like everywhere he goes, he makes people smile and laugh. He just brings joy to the world. As long as he lives, he’s not going to see the dinner plate, that’s for sure. He won’t see the inside of an imu.”
And for this little piggy, we’ll be surfing all way home.
Difficult words: deceive (trick), piglet (young pig), sty (pen for pigs in the dirt), regularly (often), wonder (amazing), gift to the world (special thing from Hawaii), imu (Hawaiian word for a special oven for cooking pigs).
