Woman narrowly avoids being hit by high-speed train in Netherlands

A woman comes within seconds of being struck by a train after attempting to go under a barrier at a level crossing.

The incident took place in the Dutch city of Oisterwijk and first shows a group of people running across the tracks as the barriers begin to close. Thinking she still has time, a woman behind them then ducks under the barriers as well only to immediately jump out of the way as a high-speed train rushes past.

The CCTV footage is from 2011. However, the video has only just been released by Dutch rail maintenance company ProRail which is starting work on a tunnel this week at the same location.
